POSHEstyle: Coachella Inspired - Tie & Dye + Fringe

I love how the '70s boho-hippie era has returned with a vengeance this season. Its anything goes, carefree, life loving spirit is exactly what we needed to lighten the mood and energy for Spring/Summer 2015.

Clearly, this trend was a match made in heaven for Coachella this year, as there were no shortage of outfit options for its festival enthusiasts; with designers from high to low churning out inspired pieces. If you weren't able to attend this year, like myself, you could still be apart of the infectious energy by rocking your indie-inspired looks - and I did just that!

This lovely tie-dye dress from ASOS was a gift from one of my best friends. The pencil silhouette defines the curves and elongates the body, but the fit is loose enough on the body to feel easy and comfortable. Pastel blue is a trendy color this Spring and this subtle tie-dye pattern gives just the perfect touch of bohemian chicness. The tea length keeps the maxi feel whilst exposing the shoes, but this dress also looks stunning belted as a midi look.

I paired the dress with gladiator-inspired footwear by Fergie. These heels look amazing with everything - dresses, skirts, pants, shorts. I'll definitely be showing you a few more styles to rock them with as they are set to be a repeat offender.

Fringe, as you all must know, is the season's must do. This RichCoco suede fringe jacket was a steal. I've seen a lot of jackets this season with fringe along the sleeves, around the neckline and on the front, but what stood out to me with this one, was the fringe detail at the back.

I added some extra fringe-on-fringe fun with this cute bag I bought years ago from a Jamaican designer. The neutral tones in this animal print makes it a versatile piece, and though I have gone through a few bags over the years, I've held on tightly to this little number. It's extra special to me because I get true happiness supporting small local artisans.

For the accessories, it was all about layering natural elements and symbolic pieces. The more the merrier is the hippie philosophy, so I wore a Ferragamo aviator, my Boluva watch, a leather wrap studded bracelet, Sara Designs evil eye bracelets and a padlock necklace, a couple random rings from a holiday market and a Murano glass ring I bought in Venice 5 years ago. My final touch was a StruckxGold case for my newly acquired iPhone6. The graphic graffiti design is ultra-cool and it's bold colors and musical influences make it Coachella approved.  Remember, this era had no rules, so don't be afraid to pile on the accessories and have fun doing it.
