POSHEhotels: Vienna Marriott Hotel

The Marriott brand is one of the most recognized and respected in the hospitality industry and I was super excited for the opportunity to stay at the Vienna Marriott location. This luxury hotel characterized by a mixture of Viennese charm and American spirit, is conveniently located in an elegant building just 6 km from Schloss Schönbrunn Palace and an 11-minute walk from the Vienna State Opera - aka the perfect location!

Upon entering the room, I was greeted with the cutest and yummiest welcome package as their special guest - I especially loved the blush roses and the “Vienna Life” book which is currently on my coffee table in my NYC apartment.

The hotel hosts 328 spacious rooms and suites; all of which were completely modernized just last year - premium finishings and exquisite materials ensure an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The bed was so comfortable and bedding so cozy and luxurious, even an insomnia challenged person like myself had a perfect nights’ sleep. The bathroom was very elegant and tranquil - I am still obsessed with the all white with black marble and will be copying that decor inspo.

This reading nook/lounge area was a favorite spot for me - with a view of the lush Stadtpark and Vienna city skyline, it was the perfect location to sit, read my new book and plan an itinerary for the next few days of exploration.

The day I arrived, it was raining so much, I decided to have a chill day-in and enjoy the hotel. First up, was getting something to eat and the Vienna Marriott offers a rich choice of restaurants and bars. The hotel suggested the Legendary Brunch at the chic Parkring Restaurant, where guests can savor both typical Austrian delicacies and international cuisine while enjoying a unique view of the park from the floor to ceiling glass windows. There was also a great perspective of the lobby with its light-flooded atrium and grand ground floor from the restaurant level - you can see the Garten Cafe, which is ideal for meeting friends and business partners or just to sit and have some coffee with Viennese pastries or their famous, award-winning cheesecake.- trust me, I still have cravings for it! The relaxed Champions Sports Bar and the modern Cascade Bar with a waterfall - suffice to say, it was a pretty cool and very lively lobby area!

After brunch I decided to have some self-care time and enjoy the other amenities of the Vienna Marriott - including, a twelve-meter indoor pool, a spa area with an infrared sauna and an aroma steam room, and a fully equipped 24-hour gym with high quality technogym workout devices. Plus, there is also a dedicated area that serves delicious drinks and snacks - one freshly made all natural juice please! What else could you ask for in a health club??

I can not say enough how much I enjoyed my stay at the Vienna Marriott Hotel. I highly recommend staying there if you plan to visit the city - you will not be disappointed. It is a beautiful and reasonably priced hotel with impeccable service, great dining and all the amenities, that are sure to make your stay an unforgettable experience.

POSHE Travels: Crochet Midi Pencil Dress

Eat. Pray. Love.

Portland, Jamaica.

With just a few days before heading back to NYC, I took a day trip to Portland, Jamaica. This to me is one of the most beautiful, lush and scenic parts of the island. If you haven't visited Jamaica, and specifically here, I suggest you add it to your bucket list - I promise you won't be disappointed.

Frenchmen's Cove

In San-San, Portland, you'll find Frenchmen's Cove - a very unique beach often referred to as "paradise" and rated one of the best in the world. What makes this beach so magical is the amazing way the river meets the ocean in the cove.

The day was a bit overcast but I wouldn't make that spoil the adventure and the elated feeling of actually fitting in a visit. I had planned to take a dip, but instead decided to just enjoyed the scenery, read some magazines and have some "dry" fun. I wore one of my favorite dresses, a crochet, midi, pencil fit dress from Joe Fresh. It's one of those pieces I've dressed up and worn to dinner resulting in heads turning and lots of compliments; and dressed and worn casually with flats, like today. It is super comfortable and very chic. I like to belt it, like I did here with a Delia's belt, to give more definition to the waist. Usually, I wear little to no accessories with it. Today, I paired it with my Bulova watch, a delicate pearl ring and my American Eagle aviators.

My visit was too short but oh so sweet. I can't wait to go back to Portland for an extended stay. I've yet to try the renovated and transformed luxury hotel, Trident Castle. I've heard nothing but rave reviews so it's definitely on my list. I had an amazing vacation in Jamaica - there is just no place like home!

Let me know if you guys have visited as well and how your experience was. Also, if you need any recommended spots as a first-timer or return visitor, I'm happy to share my "must-do" and "must-see" lists.

POSHE Travels: Printed Romper

Eat. Pray. Love.

Treasure Beach, Jamaica

It's day two of our serene getaway in the beautiful Treasure Beach, St.Elizabeth. After a late night and subsequently late morning, we went straight to lunch. Our friend took us to a cool restaurant on the beach called Frenchmen's Reef, with lots of energy and some great vibes. It was relax, chill and chat time!

I love a cute romper, especially for the tropics. It's such an easy pull together look you can wear day or night. It's no hassle to style because you already have a full outfit and it's generally flattering to a range of body types. The soft neutral tone of this romper from True Light makes the colors of the floral pattern really pop. The keyhole design is perfect for a sneak peek worn over a swimsuit, or bralette similar to the Kensie I am wearing. I liked the contrast of the animal print - a neutral in my book - against the floral print on the romper.  The American Eagle aviators added some cool edge to this cutesy look, and Bridget's "Rose" sandals were the perfect complement of casual-chic.

My girlfriend, Kaysian, went with a feminine sheer top worn over her Despi swimsuit. She paired it with denim shorts from Abercrombie & Fitch, and accessorized with her French Connection crossbody bag, keeping within a fresh blue color palette. Bridget's sandals, a Michael Kors watch, Ray-Ban sunnies  and Jamaican brand made, Happy Beads bracelets, completed this easy, breezy look.

Our friendship is over a decade long and we always have such a great time hanging out. Ironically, we met wearing the same thing to the same party and instantly connected. Though we have our individual styles, there is definitely an overlap and mutual respect for each other's unique aesthetics. Best friends don't only play together, they style together too. Stay tuned for out next Eat. Pray. Love adventure.....

POSHE Travels: Knit Cover-up + Floral Shorts

Eat. Pray. Love.

Treasure Beach, Jamaica

During my trip to Jamaica in January, my best-friend, Kaysian and I decided to take a few days away from the hustle and drama of the city, Kingston,  to get some peace of mind, body and soul in a more natural and organic part of the island, Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth. This was extra special for me because it's where my mom was born, and where I have some of my best childhood memories.

Our first morning there, we had breakfast at Jake's - an ultra luxurious, relaxing and gorgeous resort. The food was delicious and the ambiance was so calming and peaceful. Usually, we're chatting away non-stop about random topics, but this time we both were content in being silent and really taking in the beauty that surrounded us.

I wore a mint green knit tunic from Free People over high waisted floral shorts from Forever21, with the cutest ruffles. My American Eagle mirrored sunglasses - which was a staple the entire vacation - and Jamaican-made Bridgets "Rose" sandals. The sandals are a coveted and sought after item in Jamaica and are sold all over the world. The quantities are very limited however, so it's not easy getting your feet in a pair. I'm working on having a curated collection available on the store for summer, so let me know if you guys like them.

Kaysian is wearing a floral shirt dress from Free People with Bridget's "Cutaway" sandals and a blue French Connection crossbody bag. She added some cool girl factor with a pair of Ray-ban sunnies.

We spent the rest of the day exploring the area, talking with the locals, swimming at another hot spot Jack's Sprat and hanging by the pool with a little music, magazines and some Pinot Grigio.

It was a relaxing day, nurturing to the soul, that ended with a magical sunset.  I can't wait for our next "Eat. Pray. Love" adventure.

POSHE Travels: Nanette Lepore Swim

Eat. Pray. Love

Montego Bay, Jamaica

I have an immense appreciation for life's simple treasures and feel blessed to have started 2015 in a tropical environment where I could relax, reflect and plan for the year ahead. The all-inclusive Iberostar Resort provided the perfect scenario for my adopted mantra from Mother Theresa of "Small things, great love."

It was another day of sweet serenity and I was feeling oh so pretty in pink in this Nanette Lepore piece. As a swimwear designer, I have a special liking towards one-pieces. I thrive on contradicting the notion that coverage isn't sexy or fashion-forward, making them my personal favorite style to create.

This may be why I was so drawn to this Nanette Lepore one-piece. I love the tropical and vibrant print. The bold colors and selective cut-out details are quite statement makers, but overall the coverage makes it subtle, comfortable and elegant. I paired it with my favorite sandals by Jamaican design house Bridget Sandals and a chic crochet cover-up and white denim shorts from Forever21. My Bulova watch, American Eagle mirrored sunglasses and a cute ID necklace provided the final touches to this look.
