POSHEstyle: Floral + Stripes + Culottes

Popular on the spring 14 runways, Culottes have made a re-entry for spring as a must-have item for this season. The retro gentleman inspired shorts have taken on a feminine twist and contemporary cut. I've had this pair for almost a year but didn't find the perfect opportunity to wear it until a sunny day in sweet Jamaica. Oh how I miss you! (click to expand)

A favorite style technique of mine is mixed prints.  Here I styled the culottes with a H&M striped top and light floral blazer. A basic striped tank acts as a classic; it's a great complement to different patterns, prints and solids. Nude strap sandals are very versatile and can easily switch from day to night. My Chanel J12 watch, Gucci Soho Disco bag and mixed metallic rings completed the look.

POSHE Travels: Nanette Lepore Swim

Eat. Pray. Love

Montego Bay, Jamaica

I have an immense appreciation for life's simple treasures and feel blessed to have started 2015 in a tropical environment where I could relax, reflect and plan for the year ahead. The all-inclusive Iberostar Resort provided the perfect scenario for my adopted mantra from Mother Theresa of "Small things, great love."

It was another day of sweet serenity and I was feeling oh so pretty in pink in this Nanette Lepore piece. As a swimwear designer, I have a special liking towards one-pieces. I thrive on contradicting the notion that coverage isn't sexy or fashion-forward, making them my personal favorite style to create.

This may be why I was so drawn to this Nanette Lepore one-piece. I love the tropical and vibrant print. The bold colors and selective cut-out details are quite statement makers, but overall the coverage makes it subtle, comfortable and elegant. I paired it with my favorite sandals by Jamaican design house Bridget Sandals and a chic crochet cover-up and white denim shorts from Forever21. My Bulova watch, American Eagle mirrored sunglasses and a cute ID necklace provided the final touches to this look. POSHE Travels: White Shirt + Blue Jeans

Eat. Pray. Love

Montego Bay, Jamaica

One of the most infamous combination, the classic white shirt and blues jeans is an iconic style. It's the most stylish yet basic go-to look that has the versatility to be dressed down or dressed up. The exact elements can go from one extreme of casual to the next of high-fashion on the style spectrum. Tell me I have 15 minutes to get dressed and I don't think twice about what works.

After a day of lounging and relaxing at Iberostar Resorts in Jamaica, my appetite was at an all time high. This look was a quick fix for a mellow night of dinner and dancing at the hotel's private club afterwards.

The white boyfriend shirt from Joe Fresh was cool and casual. A pair of navy blue skinny jeans from Forever21 balanced out and worked great with the oversized shirt. Red Christian Louboutin 'So Kate" pumps elevated the look to dressy and added some sex appeal. An edgy fringe purse from Monika Chiang complemented the overall look. I accessorized with my gold Bulova watch, diamond studs and a cute pearl ring from the Union Square holiday market. (click images to expand)

POSHE Travels: Little Red One-Piece

Eat. Pray.Love

Montego Bay, Jamaica

I’m an island girl with a city chic heart but a deep passion for the jet-set lifestyle, engulfed with palm trees, beaches, sunshine, splashing waves, bright colors and pina coladas. I’m lucky to have the tropical island of Jamaica as my homeland and all these things a convenient pleasure to experience. As NYC temperatures fall below zero, what better way to escape than taking a trip to the tropics.

A weekend getaway at the all-inclusive Iberostar resort was my first stop for some well needed R&R.

This red one-piece by La Blanca was perfect for a day of lounging or some active sailing on the seas. It’s old-hollywood silhouette makes it glamorous and sophisticated. The ruching adds some design dimension that is a flattering fit for different body types. I paired it with some metallic gold perforated leather espadrilles sneakers by Isaac Mizrahi before switching to my Bridget Sandals (coming to the store), mirrored aviators by American Eagle and a gold Bulova watch. POSHEstyle: All Black & a POP of Celine

As we close 2014 with a newly launched website and blog, I want to project that sense of assurance and resilience we will take into 2015. An unwavering passion for creative expressions, a sincere commitment to making our clients and readers stylishly satisfied and the hope that dreams really do come true.

Black is such a powerful style statement ~ it's strong, powerful yet chic and sophisticated. When I see a woman strutting the streets of NYC in an all black outfit there is usually an aura of confidence and self-awareness exuding from her. Your first impression is that she means business, and she usually does!

Leather is another style element I utterly adore. It's versatility can complement different looks from edgy (most obvious), to elegant (most unassuming), making it a "must-have" stable for every wardrobe.

I've had this trusted leather biker pants from Topshop for a few years now, it's become a go-to piece that always works - day or night. I paired it with a loose sweater from H&M, to balance the fitted look of the pants. A cropped leather jacket from Bebe and lazor cut booties from Schutz, made the overall look ultra-cool. Mirrored aviators and my Celine Trapeze added a pop of color and fun. The "Midnight" gemstone necklace (coming to the webstore) gave a hint of glitz and finishing details including, chain adorned gloves from H&M, a Chanel J12 watch and a vintage faux fur coat rounded out this rockstar look.
