POSHEstyle: Boyfriend Jeans + Kimono

Spring is here...Finally! Yes, at 60 degrees I am in celebratory mode and ready to pull out the tank tops and show some bare skin.

I think I can safely say for many - this winter has been a mental struggle and a true test of our threshold for the cold and living in NYC. But, it seems the bi-polar weather is behind us - fingers crossed - and it's time to fall back in love with the city that has captured our hearts.

Spring is a time to get out and smell the roses - venture outside the proximity of our NYC square footages and come alive again. It's time to lose all the layers and gravitate towards feeling light and airy. And, what better way to do this than with the classic blue jeans and white shirt combo? It's just so fresh, so clean!

Denim is on the hot list for Spring, but not your typical skinny jeans. It's all about having a variety this season, and the Boyfriend jeans is a must for your closet - it's chic, comfortable and scores major cool points on the style radar. I scored this pair from Forever21 two years ago - back then it was a little looser - which I prefer - but it still fits nicely, so not too much complaints here. The ripped details are also hugely trending this Spring, so if you have an old pair and don't want to spurge on this look, grab those scissors and start snipping away. I paired it with a simple white tank from American Apparel, white python Christian Louboutin pigalle, my Coach tote and Ray-Ban wayfarer.

What's also back for the season - KIMONOS. From boho-fringe to asian inspired, these pieces add an extra oomph for a casually chic look. I love this piece from Ecote I bought last year at Urban Outfitters. It's super trendy now, but its subtle print and classic color gives it staying power even after the trend has passed. It can also be belted and worn as a dress - talk about multi-purpose and budget-friendly!

I kept the entire outfit in a monochromatic blue and white color tone, giving it a very easy, breezy, beautiful feel. Can someone say - Covergirl? (click images to expand)

POSHEstyle: All White - Denim Shorts + Snow!

We all have to admit that no matter how cold or slippery and gross the snow gets; it's a real beauty to behold when it's freshly fallen and it makes us feel like a kid again!

Given this was the first day of Spring - yes, this post is long overdue - I decided to make the best of what was hopefully the last snow day for the season.

With that said, I put on my winter boots by Etienne Aigner, a pair of white denim shorts from Guess, a cozy Xhiliration sweater, a sleeveless shirt dress by Forever21 and an infinity scarf from Joe Fresh, and headed to Central Park for some scenic snow. Typically, this isn't my everyday style but I wanted to do something fun and different for the day.

The all-white look was very cool and casual. The different textures in the fabric added dimension to the outfit. I especially liked how the midi length of the shirt dress added some coverage layered over the short shorts - that's the conservative side of this Gemini talking and nowadays she wins!

I finished the look with silver accessories - a Michael Kors watch, Cartier Love ring, Tiffany & Co bracelet and Ray-Ban sunnies.

It was a lovely day in the park and surprisingly not too cold. But, seriously now - can we move on to Spring?! I have some chic looks coming your way for the season :)

POSHEstyle: Lace Dress + Belted Scarf

The snow may finally be behind us, but this was the first day of Spring - and what a white one it was!

Nonetheless, it was a lovely day. Central Park's beauty transcends seasons. Whether with its lush greens and blooming gardens or as a Winter wonderland, it's always a scenic and serene escape from the concrete buildings and busy streets.

Crochet is a huge trend for Spring and so are white dresses. I've had this H&M number for a little while but like I always say - invest in piece that can stand the test of time (classics first) and then add the trends here and there (trends after).

The micro length of the dress made it the perfect candidate for my thigh high boots by Monika Chiang. Wearing a mini shift dress with thigh high boots leaves only a hint of skin exposed, making it more fashion-forward and sophisticated.

The belted scarf has also been a popular look, and I've been doing it for a while but hadn't document. This Oudifu scarf is so warm and chic with the elephant prints. I love that it is reversible between predominantly burgundy or predominantly white. I wore it on the white side for a more all-white subtle look, with the elephant print complementing my burgundy David and Young fedora.

Even with all the snow, it wasn't a super cold day, so I layered with a light coat from Forever21. What I love most about this coat is its feminine style. It also looks great worn as a dress - I'll do a post on that look as well soon.

The final details to this look were my Chanel J12 watch, Tiffany & Co bracelet and Ray-Ban aviators.
