POSHEstyle: Patchwork Denim + Knits

It isn't exactly the season for denim but with the "warm" winter weather NYC has been having a light denim jacket with some layered knits isn't far-fetched.

The inspiration of this outfit started with this patchwork denim A-line mini I bought at Zara. Its 70's inspired cut is very on trend for the Fall/Winter boho-chic crave. I played on the patchwork theme throughout the rest of the outfit by I keeping the tone monochromatic with shades of blue in different textures, which essentially created different "patches."

Anything "boyfriend" or oversized I am obsessed with - I always go a size up in jackets/coats/ sweaters/shirts and was happy to find this Achro Brand denim jacket that gives a very relaxed, comfy fit.

I created some contrast by layering a pinstripe boyfriend shirt from Joe Fresh - awesome place for great basics btw - under a knit turtleneck from H&M. The cutout detail of the sweater vest adds an element of surprise that is very chic and stylish.

I accessorized the look with a pair of low block heeled booties by Franco Sarto and my Mansur Gavriel bucket bag - which I've been wearing daily all December - it fits everything!

POSHEstyle: All Grey & Repousse "Bamboo" Necklace

All over grey has been trending for some time now - it's such a cool, calm alternative to the ever chic, but strong, all-black, and a great neutral for plays on pops of color. There is a certain essence of elegance, and reserved confidence when wearing this muted color that I find quite enduring.

If it isn't obvious by now, I revel in the challenge of mixing high-low fashion and making affordable pieces "high-style" worthy. I paired this fitted H&M pencil skirt with a sleek Zara turtleneck for a very sophisticated and feminine silhouette.

I get a shopping high when I find a really great bargain and that's what happened with this H&M coat on sale for 29.99!!! No really...talk about a score!

Ok, so this is where the "high" comes in - invest in quality accessories that you'll wear over and over for years to come. Classic, timeless pieces you can even pass down to your kids and grandkids -  like this beautifully crafted necklace from the Repousse Jewelry "Bamboo Collection." The fine sterling silver piece has a modern spin in its design that makes it a perfect gift for any woman.

Pairing the grey with some black created some "cool girl" contrast. High-rise calf booties are also a trend this season and so is suede...this BCBG pair covers both and will last winters to come. My classic Chanel flap bag added another element of "high-style" timelessness.

Final touches included my Chanel J12 watch and Ferragamo aviators - making a high-low outfit fit for the finest...don't you think?

POSHEstyle: Lace Dress + Belted Scarf

The snow may finally be behind us, but this was the first day of Spring - and what a white one it was!

Nonetheless, it was a lovely day. Central Park's beauty transcends seasons. Whether with its lush greens and blooming gardens or as a Winter wonderland, it's always a scenic and serene escape from the concrete buildings and busy streets.

Crochet is a huge trend for Spring and so are white dresses. I've had this H&M number for a little while but like I always say - invest in piece that can stand the test of time (classics first) and then add the trends here and there (trends after).

The micro length of the dress made it the perfect candidate for my thigh high boots by Monika Chiang. Wearing a mini shift dress with thigh high boots leaves only a hint of skin exposed, making it more fashion-forward and sophisticated.

The belted scarf has also been a popular look, and I've been doing it for a while but hadn't document. This Oudifu scarf is so warm and chic with the elephant prints. I love that it is reversible between predominantly burgundy or predominantly white. I wore it on the white side for a more all-white subtle look, with the elephant print complementing my burgundy David and Young fedora.

Even with all the snow, it wasn't a super cold day, so I layered with a light coat from Forever21. What I love most about this coat is its feminine style. It also looks great worn as a dress - I'll do a post on that look as well soon.

The final details to this look were my Chanel J12 watch, Tiffany & Co bracelet and Ray-Ban aviators.
