POSHEstyle: NYFW Day2 - Zara Jumpsuit + Vintage Moschino

How's this for a late New York Fashion Week post? I've been busy working on a project that I'm launching soon. Super excited and scared at the same time because I hope you dolls will love it. Anyways, I think this post was worth the wait :)

Royal blue is one of those colors that looks great on EVERY skin tone. Its deep vivid tone is eye-catching and flattering. If you haven't already, include this color in your wardrobe and let the compliments roll.

This wide leg jumpsuit was a great find at Zara. It was the last in the store, on sale and a size small..can I just say, lucky me :)  I love how light and easy it is. Plus, it sometimes looks like a maxi dress as well - score!

I went with a monochromatic all-over blue look by layering with this vintage navy Moschino blazer I found on ebay. Yes, that's a shopping secret of mine, I've found some amazing vintage pieces online from consignment sites, luxury resellers and ebay. The bicycle accents won me over instantly. They're so quirky and chic.

The final details were a lace-up sandals also bought on sale at Zara, a vintage Chanel bag, mirrored aviators from American Eagle, Bulova watch and few midi rings.

POSHEstyle: The Bohemian Blouse

There is something extra special about the month of May - yes, I may be biased - pun intended :) But, apart from it being my birthday month, Spring officially comes into full bloom and there is such beauty to behold.

The excitement for summer's new adventures, new destinations, new loves. fill the air. The  streets are lined with flower shops and sidewalk dining at every corner. The kids come out to play with warm smiles and cheerful chatter. The busy streets of NYC seemingly slow down enough for us to stop and smell the roses - which for it - is a lot!

And of course, the light, airy pieces we've anxiously waited to wear all winter, finally has its time of year. This season, the hippie-inspired style is mainstream fashion, and this bohemian, peasant, beauty of a top by Daniel Rainn is by all means on-trend. What I love most about this flowy blouse is how light and feminine it is. The print is soft and subtle, with hints of Spring hues; blue, green and orange. The pleats at the neckline adds an interesting dimension and the tassel detail is an extra touch of boho-chic.

To keep the printed top as the focal piece, I wore a pair of Bullhead indigo skinny jeans. These jeans are super light-weight and has a little stretch, which makes them easy to wear and very comfortable for the girl on-the-go.

I told you belles, these gladiator sandals by Fergie would be a repeat offender - they are just such a great neutral that works with everything and I can walk in them for hours - kind of shoe heaven for a heels lover!

In keeping true to the hippie-style, I accessorized by layering bracelets and jewelry. I never go without a timepiece, so starting with my Bulova watch, I wrapped a charmed bracelet by Sara Designs, creating multiple layers around the watch. I wore another wrap belted bracelet on the other hand, and closed it using a cool take on the tied belt look. For the final touches, I added a few midi-rings, my Valentino cat-eye sunglasses, and this gorgeous orange oversized clutch with a vintage brooch.

I don't know about you, but this change of season and the arrival of May has me on cloud nine. I can't wait for what this summer has in store and I am super excited for the 25th to arrive - it happens to be Memorial Day but more importantly - it's my birthday!!!!! Let the celebrations begin.....

POSHEstyle: Denim Overall + Polo Shirt

There is no doubt about it! Denim overalls have made a full transition from frumpy farm wear to mainstream, fashion-forward chicness.

This trend from the 1980's has been revamped for 2015 with cuts that are more modern, fitted and stylish. Now, there is an effortless, cool girl factor about rocking overalls. It's a versatile piece that looks great dressed down with flats and a casual t-shirt, or styled more glam with heels and a flowy top. You definitely can't go wrong with stripe tees or crisp white blouses with an overall.

I wanted to try something different from what I've seen in the magazines, on the blogs or in the streets. I went for a casual meets glam look by pairing a Rue21 overall with an Aeropostale polo shirt and Christian Louboutin So Kate heels, keeping a red-on-red color pop against the denim.

The overall was the focal point of the outfit, so I kept the accessories subtle by wearing silver and gunmetal jewelry, including my Chanel J12 watch, Tiffany & Co bracelet, Cartier ring and a few H&M rings. My Ferragamo aviator is quite possibly my best purchase for the season, and this Monika Chiang chain bag is just such a work of art and "on-trend" with its fringe details.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this look or how you're rocking your overall this Spring. Leave a comment below and subscribe to the blog for more. (Click images to expand)

POSHEstyle: Coachella Inspired - Tie & Dye + Fringe

I love how the '70s boho-hippie era has returned with a vengeance this season. Its anything goes, carefree, life loving spirit is exactly what we needed to lighten the mood and energy for Spring/Summer 2015.

Clearly, this trend was a match made in heaven for Coachella this year, as there were no shortage of outfit options for its festival enthusiasts; with designers from high to low churning out inspired pieces. If you weren't able to attend this year, like myself, you could still be apart of the infectious energy by rocking your indie-inspired looks - and I did just that!

This lovely tie-dye dress from ASOS was a gift from one of my best friends. The pencil silhouette defines the curves and elongates the body, but the fit is loose enough on the body to feel easy and comfortable. Pastel blue is a trendy color this Spring and this subtle tie-dye pattern gives just the perfect touch of bohemian chicness. The tea length keeps the maxi feel whilst exposing the shoes, but this dress also looks stunning belted as a midi look.

I paired the dress with gladiator-inspired footwear by Fergie. These heels look amazing with everything - dresses, skirts, pants, shorts. I'll definitely be showing you a few more styles to rock them with as they are set to be a repeat offender.

Fringe, as you all must know, is the season's must do. This RichCoco suede fringe jacket was a steal. I've seen a lot of jackets this season with fringe along the sleeves, around the neckline and on the front, but what stood out to me with this one, was the fringe detail at the back.

I added some extra fringe-on-fringe fun with this cute bag I bought years ago from a Jamaican designer. The neutral tones in this animal print makes it a versatile piece, and though I have gone through a few bags over the years, I've held on tightly to this little number. It's extra special to me because I get true happiness supporting small local artisans.

For the accessories, it was all about layering natural elements and symbolic pieces. The more the merrier is the hippie philosophy, so I wore a Ferragamo aviator, my Boluva watch, a leather wrap studded bracelet, Sara Designs evil eye bracelets and a padlock necklace, a couple random rings from a holiday market and a Murano glass ring I bought in Venice 5 years ago. My final touch was a StruckxGold case for my newly acquired iPhone6. The graphic graffiti design is ultra-cool and it's bold colors and musical influences make it Coachella approved.  Remember, this era had no rules, so don't be afraid to pile on the accessories and have fun doing it. POSHEstyle: Boyfriend Jeans + Kimono

Spring is here...Finally! Yes, at 60 degrees I am in celebratory mode and ready to pull out the tank tops and show some bare skin.

I think I can safely say for many - this winter has been a mental struggle and a true test of our threshold for the cold and living in NYC. But, it seems the bi-polar weather is behind us - fingers crossed - and it's time to fall back in love with the city that has captured our hearts.

Spring is a time to get out and smell the roses - venture outside the proximity of our NYC square footages and come alive again. It's time to lose all the layers and gravitate towards feeling light and airy. And, what better way to do this than with the classic blue jeans and white shirt combo? It's just so fresh, so clean!

Denim is on the hot list for Spring, but not your typical skinny jeans. It's all about having a variety this season, and the Boyfriend jeans is a must for your closet - it's chic, comfortable and scores major cool points on the style radar. I scored this pair from Forever21 two years ago - back then it was a little looser - which I prefer - but it still fits nicely, so not too much complaints here. The ripped details are also hugely trending this Spring, so if you have an old pair and don't want to spurge on this look, grab those scissors and start snipping away. I paired it with a simple white tank from American Apparel, white python Christian Louboutin pigalle, my Coach tote and Ray-Ban wayfarer.

What's also back for the season - KIMONOS. From boho-fringe to asian inspired, these pieces add an extra oomph for a casually chic look. I love this piece from Ecote I bought last year at Urban Outfitters. It's super trendy now, but its subtle print and classic color gives it staying power even after the trend has passed. It can also be belted and worn as a dress - talk about multi-purpose and budget-friendly!

I kept the entire outfit in a monochromatic blue and white color tone, giving it a very easy, breezy, beautiful feel. Can someone say - Covergirl? (click images to expand)
