POSHEstyle: Holiday Gift Guide - KARL WHO? Sweatshirt

It's the season of giving and over the next couple weeks I'll be sharing some of my picks as the perfect gifts this holiday - starting with the chicest, coolest, and most comfortable sweatshirt I own ;)

Clearly you can tell I have a real obsession with this brand...I've featured it on the blog a couple times, but I truly can't get enough of The Karl Who? sweatshirts from Socialitte! They are my favorite go-to for casually-chic style this season - uber cool with thigh high boots and skinny jeans, or rocked like this, with boyfriend jeans and kicks. The off-the-shoulder trend has been on the radar all year and will continue into the Spring - warm it up for the colder months and wear as a scooped neck layered over a turtleneck...VOILA! (Use code POSHE20 and get 20% off you order)

Another piece I virtually live and sleep in - these ripped denim from H&M - holy moly are they comfy - I'm addicted!!! A quick DIY tip - I tore them open at the knee but didn't want it to be so exposed, so I used a big safety pin that not only closed it, but gave it an extra edge of downtown chic.

I accessorized the look with edgy-glam details - this amazing choker from Katie Lares and exquisite rings by Solomeina were the perfect touches (FYI, wear them stacked or as separates). These unique pieces can be found online or at the newest and coolest boutique in Soho - Flying Solo. This concept store is home to 40 NYC designers, who own and operate the store themselves...that means so salespersons, personal experiences, and meeting the creators. I promise you won't be disappointed with the awesome gifts you'll find here (including my swimwear - LAPOSHE - shameless plug - lol)

Final details to my "cool-girl" look were my Chanel Boy (because what's cooler than him), Tom Ford aviators and Zara kicks...mission completed!

POSHEstyle: Shopping Smart & Scoring Designer Deals Online!!

I get super excited this time of the year because I know my wardrobe is about to get a major facelift. Why?? Because one of the biggest sale weekend of the year is around the corner...YAY!!! It's November and with it comes Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and all the glorious shopping days in between....

Now, listen to me - shopping cheap does not equate to shopping smart. There is a strategy in getting the best value for your hard earned cash....focus on buying quality not quantity, and shop the sales!! I wear quite a few "reputable brands" but I rarely pay full price, and there is no other feeling for a fashion enthusiast, than scoring a great designer piece at a steal.

LOFT Silk Camisole Top found at an additional 40% off sale

Plus, Christmas is tomorrow (well not literally) - and holiday shopping can get so stressful - wanting to get friends, family and lovers something really nice, but not having a huge budget to spend on all those gifts. Preparation is key my friends - they will love the gift, and you will love the price ;)

So, how do you close the rest of 2016 full of style and free of stress? These are my top five (5) tips for shopping smart online:

  1. Decide on a budget - make a list of what you want and how much they may cost, set  a maximum budget and shop maturely - commit to it!
  2. Prepare for the day in advance - check where online you can find your "wishlist", create an account on the sites if you need to, and store items in your basket if you can....don't leave until last minute...time is precious if you want to snag that deal.
  3. Check for pre sales - many retailers are extending their sale before the weekend and you don't want to see your dream item sold out.
  4. Make sure you have enough cash/limit on your debit or credit card, or in your paypal account... you don't want to reach checkout and have an oops or FML moment :(
  5. Be victorious and proud of your accomplishment...you just shopped like a champ...CONGRATS!

For my Caribbean readers this one is especially for you - yes you - I get your messages and emails asking how to get what I am wearing, and haven't been purposely leaving you out. I know the struggle is real when it comes to shopping and shipping to the Caribbean, but I have the perfect solution.

The CaribShopper app is simple, safe and super convenient - Download the App, Register online, Shop from over 100 US stores, Expect your delivery via DHL - so you too can score big this sales weekend and get all your items delivered directly to your door. POSHEstyle: Blushing Nudes + Christian Paul Watch

Spring is in the air and we can feel Summer coming - with such sweet anticipation! But, though the season brings with it blooming beauties and clearer skies, it's also that time of the year for April showers and erratic temperatures - so don't put away all your warmer pieces just yet!

That's what makes this Jessica Simpson trench coat so ideal - it gives an extra layer of warmth without the bulk and the pastel color is trend bullseye.

Monochromatic nudes and blush tones are another "YES" this season. The all-over soft tones create big impact without being over-the-top. I'm obsessed with this BCBG rose gold skinny pants - the glitter effect makes it festive for night time fun, but it's subdued enough for daytime wear.

L'amour is a gift - that's the truth - just one of the many reasons I am in love with Le Motto brand. The line of motivational and inspiring messages on basics, is super chic and classy. Just beware... you'll find it hard to choose which one - so be prepared to snatch a few.

If you keep up with the blog, you've seen this Luana Italy satchel, but I've been living in it all Spring - with plans to do the same all summer. It's just such a perfect size for day-to-night and it's stunning!

I saved my favorite part of this look for last. My ultimate obsession is not shoes or bags...it's watches. So, you can image my excitement when I received this beautiful marble and rose gold timepiece from Christian Paul Watches. The brand is out of Australia and the entire line is to die for. The chic combos and styles are perfect for everyday wear, and stylish enough to dress up all fancy. Another added to the collection makes me a happy gal :)

What do you guys think about this look? Does it make you blush? I'd look to hear your thoughts...leave a comment below...xoxo

POSHEstyle: ThePeachBox Jewelry + Crochet Dress

It's festival season and you know what that means - lots of fringe and crochet inspired pieces. This look isn't exactly concert attire, but it's a great way to interpret a trend into your everyday lifestyle.

I was instantly drawn to the "shift meets sport" style of this H&M dress with its ribbed neckline and armbands. The cool yet classy silhouette makes it a versatile piece for day and night - pair with kicks or ballet flats for an effortlessly chic summer look, perfect for brunch with the girls - or with sky high stilettos for dinner, like I did here ;)

Talking about stilettos, these nude Christian Louboutin pigalles don't get out much, but when they do, there is nothing transparent about them. I love a nude pair of heels, it elongates the legs and adds height - definitely no complaints here!

Keeping the nude pairings, I took my Louis Vuitton Capucines out on the town as well - a highlight from my stop in Paris during last summer's vacation. I never thought I would ever own a LV bag but they won me over with this style, and have been doing pretty well on my radar lately.

These delicates pieces from ThePeachBox are my present favorites - they are so elegant and classy. The chic, timeless styles of this collection make it an affordable way to switch your accessories without the lost of quality. March Jacobs sunglasses and a marble beauty from Christian Paul watches finished the look.

POSHEstyle: Pretty in Pink

So true story - my alias during high school was "Pinky" - no, not because of any intense infatuation with the color, but because I played competitive tennis and would get really pink in the face from being out in the sun constantly. Ironically, I have grown to love every shade of pink - it's flirty, feminine and fun - what more could a girl ask for?!

This pretty little pink dress from H&M got me super excited - not only is it Spring/Summer perfection - it was on sale for a steal at $29.99. Nevermind that my size was sold out, I wasn't about to leave it, so I took the next size up and viola - it works!

The great thing about this silhouette is that it's not cut to hug the body, so wearing it a little loose doesn't look ill-fitting or sloppy. It would be interesting to see what my actual size fits like but I feel so easy, breezy, beautiful in this dress that it really doesn't matter :)

As a designer, I've always had a keen focus on back details - I find an open back one of the most alluring cut on a woman. These criss-cross straps form a delicate pattern that is soft and sensual.

I paired the dress with a pop of red for a color contrast - wearing my all-time favorite pair of Christian Louboutin pumps. A nude Kate Spade tote was then the perfect neutral, as it did not detract from the color block pairing.

Marble oversized Versace sunglasses added an eclectic element to the look, and minimal jewelry - a pair of diamond studs and a diamond ring - kept the dress the focal point.

Spring calls for a light coats, and I snatched this H&M at the sale for $19.99 (down from $69.99) - I was shocked too! The fresh cream color is a great neutral for springs' bright colors and floral prints, the cut is structured and form flattering, and the aztec belt adds definition to the waist and an interesting detail.
